Texas International Fishing Tournament celebrates 80 years of offering the best fishing at the bay and high seas for fishing lovers.

This event is surrounded by crystalline waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre Bay invites all fishermen from Texas Valley and around the world to enjoy two days full of fishing activities.  The event will begin on July 31st and more than 1,500 fishermen and more than 500 Basques are expected.

This tournament is the biggest of salted water fishing in Texas and where young fishermen and with experience will compete on one of the three divisions: Bahia, tarpon and high seas, where Blue Marlin, White Marlin, and Sailfish, and at the end you will enjoy one of the most gratifying views from the pier.

The tournament begins with registration in order for the beginning of young people fishing the day after.  Two days after registration fishing begins at dawn and ends with a lunch and a ceremony of awards two days after.

At Texas International Fishing Tournament all age’s fishermen are welcomed since it is for the entire family and each child registered in the tournament receives a trophy for their effort.  Registrations are already open and have a cost of adults 100 USD, youngsters from 13 to 16 years of age 50 USD and children from 1 to 12 years old 30 USD and prizes start at 40 USD.
