When love for art and the desire for transmitting the best of them are combined, the Arte CAS study is created. Space where they teach more than music, theater, painting, singing, among many more disciplines. In this edition, find out why it is the perfect option to learn something new.
Anna Karen Tirado and Augusto Contreras – owners of the academy – have a long career in arts, since they discovered their passion from an early age. Augusto has been acting in different school plays and other places like New York and Chicago since he was 9 years old; while Anna Karen, has been singing in church choirs since she was 5 years old, also in mariachis, and participated in I’ve got talent. Each one has stood out in different projects. After knowing each other and be friends, they decided to be partners in life to share their passion for art and create CAS, something that definitively is more than a study Art.
The study offers an extensive list of classes such as Singing, theater, dancing and different musical instruments, such as piano, guitar, violin, accordion, trumpet, electric bass, drums, saxophone, cello, ukulele and many more. It is worth mentioning that if you want some class, and it is not available at the school, they look for a specialized teacher and they adjust to your schedules. Likewise, each one of their teachers has a special curriculum where besides having a passion for art, they have the values they transmit to each student.
The school is open for all kinds of ages as of 4 years old and people with disabilities. As well as they offer private classes. Prices are 160 dollars per month, with 8 hours of class, which covers 2 classes per week of one hour each and includes some materials.
Besides, something important to mention that more than a school of arts, is a space where people can have an added value as individuals. Since like Ana Karen and August say, CAS is an artist collective, inspiring talents for the development of the community through fine arts, because, at the end of the day, this is the difference among all art studios, their pedagogy is co-intentional and is also based on 8 values which they call superpowers, which they practice on each class to achieve every person acquire this: being honest, humble, inspired, passionate, emphatic, creative, grateful and a giver.
