As of December 1st, Hidalgo city lights with their annual Hidalgo Festival of Lights, an event that became a tradition among the inhabitants of the Rio Grande Valley.

As every year enjoy the traditional activities like lighting the Christmas tree, which will be done on December 1st, their parade throughout the entire Ramon Ayala Dr. Street on December 6th at 7 pm, different guided or in carts tours, around the lights and of course, the Christmas party of Ramon Ayala.

Train raids are of 5 dollars per person.

Likewise, this 2019 new surprises arrive such as Meet and Greet with the Coca-Cola polar bear, an artisan market, pictures with Santa in City Hall Plaza, live music and a carnival, which expands every year. All those activities are daily from 6 pm to 10 pm.

They have also included in these December seasons, special dinners to enjoy with the family, friends or workers partners. These include VIP seats to enjoy the shows that will take place, a tour narrated in a train and of course the dish, these can be chosen in two schedules: 3:15 pm or 6:15 pm and will take place from December 5th to 8th and from December 11th to 17th, likewise every day they have a different dish like Sautee Chicken Breast, Salisbury Steak, and Roast Beef and they have side dishes, bread and tea, and a dessert. The price is 13 dollars per person.

The event will take place the entire month and will finish on December 30th, with a different Christmas activity every day. It is worth mentioning that on December 24th, 25th and 30th many activities like artisan or Christmas characters will not be present.
